rom the very beginning of this century, the world has been in conflict. This is a sad place, full of sorrow, tragedy, and destruction. It seems as though most of the twentieth century has been punctuated by some conflict that was either global in nature or involved many nations. These conflicts somehow, someway, have affected us all, if not directly, then most assuredly indirectly. We all have had some relative or other loved one, or know of someone who has been involved in one of these conflicts. Why mankind cannot live together without conflict is a question as old as mankind itself. This room is a testiment and a memory of those that served, those that waited, and for the innocent victims; all of which have endured the loss, the sacrifice, and have paid the price of war, no matter which side or which country. War is gruesome. We should never, ever forget that. We have all prayed and dreamed that the last one will indeed truly be the last one. Let us all hold onto that prayer and dream, and if we all try hard enough, then maybe, just maybe, we can indeed make the last one the very "Last One"................
