Here is where gunfighters, lawmen, desperados, and colorful characters abound. The days of stagecoaches, covered wagons, horses, and railroads. The days when the westward expansion of America was under full steam. The Civil War was over, and a flood of settlers headed west. But, already there, were the Native Americans. For them, this flood would drown out the last flicker of the flame that had been their freedom, their independence, and their way of life. Here then, are the rough and tumble days of the Old Wild West. Real and fanciful, good and bad, happy and sad, it was the final chapter in the expansion of America. When it was over, America would stretch from sea to sea, and beyond. From exhilirating to agonizing, it brought America into the twentieth century and the modern era. It was a time of romance, rough times, tragedy, and legend. It was the stuff that dreams are made of...............
